The School Site

Our school is situated in the West Yorkshire Pennine village of Milnsbridge, a historic mill village which lies at the edge of the Colne Valley close to Huddersfield town centre.

We are a single-form entry, community primary school, catering for children aged from 3-11.

Our children come from a range of backgrounds, both social, religious and cultural and each one of them is special.  Our school is a happy place where children and staff work hard, try their best and enjoy learning. We strive to provide all of our pupils with the skills, knowledge and mindset that will see them always do their best, embrace challenges and recognise that if they aim high anything is possible.

The building is late Victorian and is split level in design with key stage 1 and 2 classrooms, a hall, Nurture room (The Nest), library and office upstairs;  our Year 1 classroom and Foundation Stage Unit are on the lower level.

Outside we benefit from a good amount of outdoor space which is well used for learning and play. This includes three separate playground areas,  designated for use by Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1  (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6),  an extensive trim trail and climbing wall,  new climbing frames, a playing field and our own woodland, with pond.
