Hello, my name is Miss Clarke and I am the new Assistant Head Teacher at Crow Lane. I have previously worked at another school for six years and I have most recently been teaching in Year 2. This year I will be teaching Years 1 and 2 in Rainbow Class which I am really looking forward to. I will also be leading Literacy across the school and I am looking forward to the opportunities this will bring.
If you won the lottery, what would you do (with the money?)
I would move to the Outer Hebrides, a group of remote islands off the West coast of Scotland. My dream is to buy a small holding near the coast and be as self sufficient as possible.
Which 3 famous people would you invite for dinner? Why?
Mary Berry – She is the queen of home baking and she could give me a few hints and tips. I love to bake as often as I can.
Monty Don – I love gardening and spend most of my spare time in the garden growing flowers and vegetables. He has an amazing garden and has lots of experience and knowledge to share.
Paul O’Grady – He has a great sense of humour and we have a shared love of furry friends.
What pets do you have?
I have two dogs, Ella and Alfie who are a handful! I have a gorgeous tabby cat named Cookie and two house rabbits named Mollie and Lola. I have recently bought five chickens named Elizabeth, Emily, Charlotte, Olive and Florence. They live in my garden and lay eggs for me every day which I use to bake with. I am an animal lover and if I had a bigger house I would have more pets. I would love to own a goat and a donkey but sadly I can’t fit them in!
What’s your favourite game?
Scrabble.
What do you like to eat?
Chocolate and cheese (although not together!) I also love Italian and Mediterranean food.
What’s the most embarrassing CD in your collection?
Boyzone, from when I was their number one fan (a long time ago!)
Which TV programmes do you like?
The Great British Bake Off (I met Mary Berry last year), Grand Designs, Downton Abbey, Kirstie’s Homemade Home, River Cottage, Spring Watch and Gardeners World. Basically anything to do with baking, gardening, animals or British History.
What would be your ideal holiday destination?
The remote Islands of Scotland. I have already visited the West Coast of Scotland twice and it was amazing. I was lucky enough to see stags, otters, seals and feed a Pine Martin. I am hoping to visit North Uist next Summer.
.What Chinese Year were you born in?
The year of the Rat.
What was your best subject when you were at school?
English. I have always loved reading.
