Oxford Owl - free e-books

This year Mrs Clarke-Barrett and Mrs Turner will be teaching in Red Class, with the support of Mrs Hamilton.

Welcome back to the Spring term

This term we will be exploring two topics - 'Where would you choose to build a city' and 'How would you survive without water'. We are reading the text Varjak Paw (F.F.Said) as part of our topic, and also reading 'I was a Rat (Philip Pullman)' as our story time text. We are looking forward to going out and exploring our village and carrying out some fieldwork.

We have been conducting scientific experiments to help us learn about solids, liquids and gasses. Some of the photographs below show our super science day, where we investigated chocolate and made jelly and butter. It was very difficult not to eat the chocolate in our experiments, as you can see from our faces!

PE will be on Monday and a Wednesday afternoon so please make sure your PE kit is in school.

Under the new National Curriculum all children are expected to know all their times tables to 12x by the end of the Summer term of Year 4. Please help your child to practise them.
